
The greatest guitar hero of all time finally will rock
Guitar Hero. The animated likeness of Jimi Hendrix and the late axeman's songs "Purple Haze" and "The Wind Cries Mary" will be featured in the
Guitar Hero: World Tour video game, due out this fall. "Jimi was a kid at heart -- he definitely would have played these games,"
says Hendrix's adopted stepsister, Janie. Meanwhile, a city park recently was
dedicated to Hendrix in his hometown of Seattle.

Metallica's James Hetfield discussed the meaning of the title of his band's upcoming album,
Death Magnetic, in a recent interview. "It started out as a tribute to people who have fallen in our business, like [late Alice in Chains frontman] Layne Stayley," explains the singer-guitarist. "Some people are drawn towards [death], just like a magnet, and other people are afraid of it and push away." Click

Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler was arrested early Friday in Los Angeles. The stickman was suspected of narcotics possession and being under the influence, and also had an outstanding warrant. Adler -- who has long struggled with substance abuse -- is participating in the second season of VH1's
Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew,
scheduled to premiere in October. He also revealed recently that he's agreed to appear in a spin-off series called
Sober Living.

Perry Farrell says the original members of Jane's Addiction will convene shortly to discuss a full-scale reunion. "There's a lot of very strong personalities," admits the singer. "But I still think it would be worth it to get Jane's Addiction together." The four bandmates performed in April at the
NME Awards USA in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Farrell was
joined onstage by guitarist Dave Navarro at a July 12 gig in Las Vegas (watch YouTube clips
