Layne Staley Tribute East 2025

11/08/2025 - 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm at The Somerville Theater
55 Davis Sq

Layne Staley Tribute East 2025 – Hosted by Mistress Carrie

Layne Staley Tribute East is the first-ever East Coast tribute concert dedicated to honoring the legacy of Layne Staley and Mike Starr while raising awareness and support for addiction recovery. Modeled after the official Seattle Layne Staley Tribute—which has run for over 23 years—this event brings that powerful tradition to the East Coast for the very first time.

More than a concert, it’s a mission-driven, nonprofit event that turns tragedy into hope. Organized by Boston-area Alice in Chains tribute bands Nothingsafe and The Real Thing, the tribute offers fans an unforgettable night of music, remembrance, and purpose. Brought to you by Nehi Stripes Seattle, the official media outlet of the Seattle-based tribute, the event is a deeply personal and authentic experience.

Proceeds will support musicians struggling with fentanyl and opioid addiction and provide resources for their families through donations to the Layne Staley Memorial Fund via Therapeutic Health Services (THS) in Seattle and the Charles River Recovery Center in Weston, MA.

DJSTRONG Charitable Fund 2nd Annual "Together Again Event"

DJSTRONG Charitable Fund 2nd Annual “Together Again Event”

11/29/2025 - 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Anthony’s Ocean View
450 Lighthouse rd

DJSTRONG Charitable Fund – Together Again Event

Welcome to our 2nd Annual “Together Again Event” hosted by the DJSTRONG Charitable Fund! Join us for a night of giving and celebrating the life of our son DJ at Anthony’s Ocean View. Let’s come together to support a great cause and have fun while doing it.

The DJSTRONG Charitable Fund is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting children and their families affected by Congenital Heart Defects, Cancer and Autism. It is fueled by the strength of our son DJ whose life was affected by these diagnoses.

Our son DJ DiVincenzo passed away in 2022 from PTLD a transplant related cancer, at 16 years old. Despite enduring four open heart surgeries, including two heart transplants at the ages of 6 months and 14, and being diagnosed with Autism at 2-1/2 years old, DJ’s kindness and generosity inspired all who knew him.

Our 16-year journey was challenging in every way. Without the support of our friends, employers, medical professionals, family members, and support organizations we could not have provided the level of care he needed. We understand the daunting nature of this journey and aim to give back and help families who are facing similar challenges.

Proceeds from this event will support charities connected to DJ and fund a yearly scholarship in DJ’s name at Stratford High School for a senior who has shown strength through adversity. We will also collaborate with social workers at New York Presbyterian (Morgan Stanley Children’s) and other children’s hospitals to identify families in need to help lessen the burden experienced with long hospital stays.

DJ was a kind and giving soul who was always thoughtful of others, even during his own struggles. He would want us to help those in need. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of others while keeping his legacy and spirit alive each day.

Please consider joining us or making a donation to help our cause. Whether big or small, every act of giving offers a bright spot in someone’s day. Let’s leave a footprint together. DJ would want us to.

“Not every day is a good day but there is good in every day”
-DJ DiVincenzo-
